This handsome sculptural group of a pair of saints will add character to any collector's cabinet-of-curiosities or library. Inspired by the gilt silver and coral sculptures of the mid-16th century (for example, Wenzel Jamnitzer's Daphne at the Renaissance Museum in Ecouen, France).
Mounted on a faux marble sockle.
Condition: wear commensurate with age with some losses to the original coral branches.
